Our Marketing strategy is simple. We offer great products and services,
and we aggressively pursue new and existing business. Over half of
our employees are engaged in direct sales and customer service. There
is no substitute for direct personal communications with the marketplace.
Our sales team actively strives to learn and understand each of our
customer's service needs and product requirements.
Our goal is to form partnerships with our customers, based on responsive,
comfortable, and intimate service relationships. JCH Wire & Cable
established partnership arrangements, blanket orders and / or open
order contract with our customers. Our commitment to some customers
includes an on-site stocking location with full-time JCH employees,
to provide just-in-time services. Business partnerships are the future
of the industrial distribution business, and we are prepared for it
now!
Sales and Marketing Methods
JCH Wire & Cable uses many different methods to promote our business,
and to inform the marketplace about our products and services. The
primary sales method is personal contact by our inside and outside
sales force. We also engage in: direct
mailing campaigns, trade shows, trade journal advertising, joint advertising
campaigns with our manufacturers, local Chamber of Commerce memberships,
industry association memberships, industry directories, product application
seminars for customers and prospective customers, promotional give-aways,
facility tours, and open houses.
Outside Sales Staff
Our outside sales staff maintains a face to face point of sale contract
with a majority of our customer base. By meeting and conversing with
customers on a direct level, we keep fully informed of products and
services needed, and are also able to present our existing product
lines and new product lines on a continuing basis. We frequently participate
in, and encourage, joint customer calls with representatives and sales
agents from our manufacturers. Our outside sales staff frequently
performs project take-offs for network contractors, as well as industrial
OEM's. We are also instrumental in specifying material in large public
utility projects.
Inside Sales Staff
In keeping with our commitment to exceed customer expectations, JCH
maintains a well trained inside sales staff. Each sales representative
is assigned a limited number of accounts which enables them to provide
personal and customized service. We conduct regular training courses
and seminars to educate our sales force about applications, product
benefits and performance characteristics for each of our product lines.
Seminars
JCH conducts technical seminars for our customers on a regular basis.
The seminars provide a forum for technical education, product application
discussions, and hands-on problem solving. Substantial benefit is
also derived from the personal interaction among JCH's authorized
manufactures, our customers, and our sales staff. Our past seminars
have been attended by engineers and managers from our major customers.
We have conducted a variety of types of seminars, for example: seminars
relating to networking hardware and apparatus - including cabling
systems, connectivity product lines, and application guidelines and
proper installation practices.

Direct Mailing
JCH has established mailing lists that target specific customer
categories such as Industrial Contractors, Mines, Hotels, and other
focused segments. Mailings are also sent on a regular basis to different
target accounts to update them on existing and new product lines.
Mailings are directed primarily to managers and engineers within
different sections of the customer's operation. For example, to
a commercial operation such as a hotel or casino, and depending
on the specific product line being promoted, we will send mailers
to a named individual in a variety of areas, such as: Slot Department,
Security & Surveillance, Plant Engineering, MIS, Maintenance, and/or
the Stage and Entertainment Department.
Trade Shows
JCH participates in a number of important trade shows throughout
the year, which target specific markets and product groups. At these
shows we actively display and promote our manufacturers' product
lines. Increasingly, Las Vegas has become the host city for large
and important industry trade shows providing a good venue for personal
interaction with existing customers, as well as introductions to
new customers.
Promotional Items
Promotional items, such as tee-shirts and coffee cups, are presented
on a continuous basis throughout the year to current and prospective
customers. All of these items contain the JCH logo. Promotional
items are also part of a joint promotional effort with a particular
manufacturer. These co-op items would contain the manufacturer's
name and / or logo in addition to the JCH logo. We feel the benefit
of marketing our name along side a vendor name is an excellent way
of getting our name out to the industry.
Open House
We gladly accept orders entered by virtually any medium - phone,
fax, mail. Each year JCH holds it's annual open house in
October to allow our customers to interact directly with our manufacturer's
representatives. Our last open house enlisted 50 manufacturers and
was attended by over 1,700 of our valued customers. The open house,
like our company, gets bigger and better every year.
Product Catalogs, Brochures and Flyers
JCH is proud to display our manufacturer's distinct product offerings
in our Wire & Cable catalog and Electronic catalog. We also produce
a variety of brochures and flyers for specific market segments and
industry applications. These are sent to present and potential customers
as first point of contact, and as a method of providing continuous
client contact as well as information updates.
Facility Tours
We are very proud of our custom-designed facility and our hard-working employees.
We eagerly welcome customers and vendors to visit our facility for a complimentary tour.
Visitors are welcome any time during normal business hours. Prior notification is requested
in order to prepare a presentation and custom tour.
